Båtliv Luleå (Boat life in Luleå) is a site with information about boating and life in the archipelago of Luleå - summer and winter. We cooperate with the local city county, yacht clubs, other clubs and companies. Alf Arne Harjo is the editor in chief of Båtliv Luleå (Boat life in Luleå). Born in Northern Norway with its rich maritime life he came to Luleå and started the site after discovering the fantastic archipalago of northern Botnic sea and Luleå. The site is now being translated into Norwegian and English. The archipelago of Luleå is not far away from Norway, but few norwegians know about it. We have one of the finest maritime environment in northern Scandinavia with more than 700 islands, excellent bathing and swimming and good waters for boating. In the winter when the ocean is frozen you can travel with car on ice roads between several of the islands, or make adventure trips with snomobile on the more than 1000 km of snowmobile tracks within the Luleå archipelago!

Here we have chosen to present the parts of the archipelago that you can reach without a boat of your own, using local tour boats. When you are out there in the archipelago you will find many choises and places to sleep, places with a lot of people as well as islands where you can enjoy the tranquility and peace far away from crouded camping places and sounds of engines. We will help you find a different vacation.
